Support Us

Donating is the easiest, quickest and most effective way to help us fund our important work.

The PMF must raise £150,000 every year to fund our important work. We rely on the generosity of charitable trusts, businesses and members of the community – that means you!

The PMF completely relies on donors and volunteers, without which we could not carry out our valuable work.

We are a grassroots charity started by people living in Pimlico. Our first project was a small concert at St Gabriel’s Church in Pimlico, featuring an adult choir and students from two local schools. We are now embedded in five local schools, have successfully founded two community choirs, host three successful concerts every year, and launched our advanced music project in September 2018: The Foundation Scholars Programme.

This means that our turnover has increased from £30,000 in 2015 to a projected £150,000 in the 2019/2020 academic year.

We currently receive no government funding.

The biggest benefit from PMF for our students is that it opens a world of music that I personally have never encountered before. To actually sit in a lesson and see the children sing Vivaldi from a score - I've never seen that in a Primary school. Ever.

- Janella Ajeigbe, Head of Churchill Gardens Primary Academy

Become A Friend

Regular donations make the biggest difference to our work. Those who donate monthly or annually receive:

  • a termly e-report with good news stories about our work, and
  • their name listed in concert programmes

The PMF would like to invite local individuals, couples and groups to join the PMF Supporters Circle.

By joining the PMF Supporters Circle, you will be:

  • Improving life chances of children from disadvantaged backgrounds who need your help the most
  • Joining a network of like minded people who care about Pimlico
  • Leading the way in your community by helping us to make a positive change

Benefits include:

  • A termly e-report with good news stories about our work
  • Invites to an annual dinner or drinks reception
  • An annual ‘thank you’ card from one of the children
  • Reserved seating at our termly concerts
  • Your name listed on our website and in concert programmes

Members of the supporters circle generously donate £80 every month to the Pimlico Musical Foundation.

I've made lots more friends. First I only knew people from my school but now I know loads of people. I've met some old friends that left our school. When I'm walking around outside school sometimes I see my new friends and say hello!

Event Donations

We also invite people in our community to donate proceeds from their own events. In the past we have received donations raised from film showings, residents association collections and local BBQs!

If you have an event coming up, host a book group, or are a member of a resident’s association, then why not consider PMF as the chosen charity for a collection at your next event? We encourage people in Pimlico to use PMF as a way to get closer to their neighbours.
