Evensong is a free service held at many churches and cathedrals around the world that provides a restful, peaceful and contemplative time (about 30 to 45 minutes) at the ‘even’ point of the day, between the end of the working day and night-time. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax after a busy day. Come along to sit in peace and enjoy some fantastic music.

Not at all. Evensong is open to everyone – atheist, agnostic, or of other faiths. If it’s your first time, don’t worry – there will be no one pestering you to do anything other than sit down and enjoy the experience. You can also stand if you want to.

Evensong on Wednesdays is sung by the PMF Foundation Scholars Choir, joined with our Teacher-Singers. An Evensong has various set texts that are repeated each service. The music for these texts changes regularly – follow our social media to find out in advance.
