Let's Sing Disney!
Our first concert of 2026 celebrates the huge catalogue of Walt Disney with a collaboration between several of our choirs. And we’re inviting you to come along and sing with us!
The 100-plus-year-old institution of Disney is present throughout popular culture and spans multiple generations. We chose Disney as the theme for our Spring concert for that very reason - its universality represents PMF's belief that music-making can be accessible to all.
Pimlico Children’s Choir and SingOut! adult choir will be joined by our Foundation Scholars choir, pupils from PMF partner schools, and professional singers to form a mega-chorus that pays homage to Disney’s expansive body of work.
Our Spring concert continues PMF’s landmark 10 year anniversary celebrations. And of course, no Disney-themed show would be complete without a singalong, so expect a handful of opportunities to belt out some family favourites during the show. We'll be covering music from Disney's classic titles (Snow White, Cinderella) to modern favourites (Frozen, Moana), and many more in between.
🌟 Invite your friends, family and neighbours of all ages
🌟 Check out what it’s like to sing in all different types of choirs
🌟 Join in the singing in a welcoming and joyful setting
Fauré's Requiem
“Perhaps my instinct led me to stray from the established path after all those years accompanying funerals! I’d had them up to here. I wanted to do something different.”
- Gabriel Fauré
Fauré certainly did manage to do something different with his Requiem, op.48 (1885-1890), performed here by the combined forces of the St Gabriel’s Church Choir and PMF’s Pimlico Chorus. This setting of the Catholic Mass for the dead - traditionally offered for the repose of departed souls - has earned a place among the great Requiems of Mozart, Verdi, and others as an enigmatic classic of the genre. Whilst he had an obvious choice to delve into the morose, Fauré chose instead to communicate hope; pertinently, we'll be performing this at the start of Springtime.
For PMF's interpretation, the Chorus will come together with St Gabriel's Church Choir for the very first time to form a booming 70-strong group worthy of the Requiem. They'll be accompanied by professional soloists and a chamber orchestra. Expect a high-calibre, majestic performance in the intimate venue of St Gabriel's Church - a long-standing partner of PMF’s, with a strong musical tradition and excellent acoustics.

Join us for a community concert celebrating the power of music to bring people together. The Pimlico Musical Foundation presents Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo, Cecilia McDowall’s powerful musical adaptation of Christina Lamb’s award-winning book telling the true story of Nujeen Mustafa — a young girl with cerebral palsy who travelled in her wheelchair from war-torn Syria to Germany in search of safety, education and freedom. The evening will begin with a communal Middle-Eastern supper — a chance for audience and performers to share food, conversation, and community before the performance.
As part of our 10th year anniversary programme, we are reprising our favourite pieces. The concert will be performed by over 100 local children from PMF’s six partner schools alongside the Pimlico Children’s Choir, Pimlico Foundation Choir, Pimlico Chorus and professional Teacher-Singers.

About
This five-movement cantata, scored for children’s choir, adult choir, violin and piano, vividly depicts Nujeen’s journey through chorales, rhythmic spoken sections, body percussion, and violin melodies infused with Middle-Eastern colours. The book tells the true story of Nujeen Mustafa, a young girl with cerebral palsy who braves inconceivable odds to travel in her wheelchair from Syria in search of a new life. The story recounts the details of her childhood and disability, as well as the specifics of her journey across the Mediterranean to Greece and finally to Germany to seek an education and the medical treatment she needs.
