The Pimlico Musical Foundation builds on the country’s world-class choral tradition to bring together communities, inspire children and provide amazing opportunities to schools, children and adults in Pimlico.

We are committed to bringing together people from all corners of Pimlico communities.

The UK has a strong choral tradition often said to be the envy of the world. It is an excellent way of training young people to become great musicians whilst bringing together different communities of people.

World-class quality

We have a roster of brilliant Teacher-Singers who guide and train the members of our many choirs and teach our instrumental pupils. This gives our children and adults the role models and opportunities to aspire to be great musicians, inclusive of all backgrounds, faiths and ethnicities.

Access for everyone

We keep all our programmes free for children and schools. Our Children’s Choir, Sing Out! Pimlico and The Pimlico Chorus is open for anyone in the Pimlico area and all are welcome to join!

Foundation-Scholars

Our Foundation-Scholars programme is our pride and joy! Comprising some of our most talented young musicians, the Foundation Choir offers an advanced training designed to provide them with lifelong musical and non-musical skills. Each week, the Foundation Scholars perform Evensong alongside eight professional singers at St Gabriel’s Church in Pimlico. In addition to this high-quality vocal training, the children receive free tuition in a chosen orchestral instrument (or piano) and music theory. Learn more.

The Foundation Scholars programme is generously supported by The Holy Childhood amongst others.

Incredible opportunities

We have partnered with a host of organisations to give our musical community fantastic opportunities that they will remember for the rest of their life.
