Florence Price

Florence Price is a conductor and singer based in London and recently graduated with an MA (Distinction) in Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, having previously studied at the University of Manchester.

Alongside her role as Programme Lead for Pimlico Musical Foundation’s Children’s Choir, she is the Musical Director of Laudamus Chamber Choir and Musical Director of Genesis Chorale, and is regularly in demand as a conductor across the country.

Florence was recently the Genesis Sixteen Conducting Scholar working with Harry Christophers and Eamonn Dougan, and a participant on the Crouch End Festival Chorus Young Conductor Mentoring Scheme. Florence regularly works as a conductor and coach with organisations including the National Youth Choir, Gabrieli Roar and Finchley Children’s Music Group, and has founded several children’s choirs across London. Recent highlights include working as Guest Conductor for the Chorus of the Royal Northern Sinfonia, working with new-music ensemble Project40, and reaching the final of the London International Choral Conducting Competition. Florence remains active as an alto, singing regularly with professional church choirs across London.
