Why Give?

Our Charity

We’re a community-led charity offering free, high-quality music education to 800 children aged 0–18 across Pimlico. As we enter our 10th year, we need your help to continue enhancing our Children’s Programmes and ensure every child can experience the joy, connection and growth that singing brings.

Situation

Music education can be transformative for young people. It can boost confidence, social skills, learning and can support all-round development and wellbeing. However, not all children have access to a high-quality music education. School budgets are stretched, music lessons cost too much, and families don’t always have the time to get kids to activities. For families already facing challenges, the barriers add up. That’s where PMF steps in — offering free, specialist and local music education.

Solution

We offer expert choral training and performance opportunities to children from 0 to 18, many of whom with no other musical experience. Our programmes offer a potentially life-changing gateway to music, with our children at the heart of everything we do. We make sure our activities are embedded in the local community by maintaining strong relationships with local state primary schools, and offer a bespoke provision, which is only made possible by our world-class musical and pastoral staff.
