Evensong at Westminster Abbey

We are delighted to announce that our Foundation Choir will sing a service of Evensong at Westminster Abbey on Thursday 18th July.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for the Scholars, and an opportunity for them to show off skills that they have carefully developed through weekly Evensongs at St Gabriel’s in Pimlico. The children will receive a special tour of the Abbey before their rehearsal to learn more about the history of this iconic building. The service is open to the public and everyone from the PMF community is welcome to attend!

  • Evensong is a free service held at many churches and cathedrals around the world that provides a restful, peaceful and contemplative time (about 30 to 45 minutes) at the ‘even’ point of the day, between the end of the working day and night-time.

It’s the perfect opportunity to relax after a busy day. Come along to sit in peace and enjoy some fantastic music.

  • Not at all. Evensong is open to everyone – atheist, agnostic, or of other faiths.

If it’s your first time, don’t worry – there will be no one pestering you to do anything other than sit down and enjoy the experience. You can also stand if you want to.

  • Thursday 18th July | 5-5.45pm
